Hungarians belong together, wherever they live in the world

A KINCS 2023 májusában végzett felmérésének középpontjában a külhonban élő és a határon túli magyarokkal kapcsolatos kérdések vizsgálata áll. Az emberek döntő többsége egyetért azzal, hogy minden magyar gyermek kincs, bárhol is születik a világon (85%), valamint azzal is, hogy a közös anyanyelv és kultúra minden magyart összeköt (83%). A kutatás résztvevőinek háromnegyede (76%-a) egyetért azzal is, hogy minden magyar összetartozik, bárhol is éljen a világon, és kétharmaduk (68%) szerint a külhoni magyarok is a nemzet részét képezik. A válaszadók többsége támogatja a határon túl élő magyarok segítését, különösen az önhibájukon kívül külföldre kerültek esetében, valamint a kivándorolt magyarok hazatérésének támogatását is fontosnak tartja. Összességében megállapítható, hogy erős a nemzeti összetartozás érzése, és a magyarok jelentős része a határokon túl élő honfitársakat is a nemzet szerves részének tekinti.<br>

The focus of KINCS’s survey conducted in May 2023 was the examination of issues related to Hungarians living abroad and across the borders. The vast majority of respondents agree that every Hungarian child is a treasure, no matter where in the world they are born (85%), and that a shared mother tongue and culture connect all Hungarians (83%). Three-quarters of respondents (76%) also agree that all Hungarians belong together regardless of where they live in the world, and two-thirds (68%) consider Hungarians living beyond the borders to be part of the nation. Most respondents support helping Hungarians living outside the country, particularly those who moved abroad through no fault of their own, and also consider it important to support the return of emigrated Hungarians. Overall, it can be stated that a strong sense of national unity exists, and a significant proportion of Hungarians regard compatriots living beyond the borders as an integral part of the nation.<br>
