The trend of Hungarians to desire for children is unbroken

2018–2019 folyamán a Nemzetpolitikai Államtitkárság felkérésére a Nemzetpolitikai Kutatóintézet és a Kopp Mária Intézet a Népesedésért és a Családokért közös kutatásában vizsgálta a külhoni magyarok demográfiai helyzetét, a vegyes házasságok alakulását, a családalapítással, gyerekvállalással kapcsolatos attitűdöket, a külhonba kiterjesztett családtámogatások ismertségét. Jelen kiadvány ebből a kutatásból villant fel néhány megállapítást, a teljesség igénye nélkül. A kutatási eredmények népszerűsítésének céljával készült ismertető anyagban 8 témát érintünk röviden a külhoni magyarok családalapítási, gyerekvállalási magatartása kapcsán.<br>

During 2018–2019, at the request of the State Secretariat for National Policy, a joint research project conducted by the Institute for National Policy Research and the Kopp Mária Institute for Population and Families examined the demographic situation of Hungarians living beyond the borders, the development of mixed marriages, attitudes toward starting a family and having children, and awareness of family support measures extended to Hungarian communities abroad. This publication highlights several findings from this research without aiming for completeness. Prepared with the goal of promoting the research results, this overview briefly addresses eight topics related to family formation and childbearing behavior among Hungarians living abroad.<br>
