A new double issue of KAPOCS has been published

The latest double issue of KAPOCS (2026/1–2), titled “Scientific Perspectives on Family Support Policies,” has been published. The issue explores the relationships between family support policies and broader social processes from a wide range of academic perspectives, drawing on the methods and approaches of sociology, demography, economics, law and political science, health sciences, the sociology of religion, and public administration.

The latest studies published in our professional journal provide a comprehensive overview of the history of family policy research in Hungary, present patterns in the utilization of the family tax allowance, examine experiences related to participation in the Women 40 programme, and investigate the emergence of housing support measures in disadvantaged settlements. The articles also address the family-supporting role of the health visitor service and doulas, as well as the interpretation of selected family science dimensions from a community perspective. Through the examples of two cities, our authors examine the role of local governments in implementing family policy objectives and present policy directions related to foreign currency lending between 2010 and 2025. The closing study of the issue, which explores perceptions of crises, places family and social policy questions within a broader societal context.
